A red born from a dialogue. The wind speaks, the mountain replies.

BLEND OF GRAPES PRIOR // CABERNET CORTIS

Fruscìo is the pure sound of the mountain: a fresh, elegant, authentic red.

The meeting of Prior (Pinot Noir) and Cabernet Cortis (Cabernet Franc), grown at 750 meters above sea level on clay and rocky soils, gives rise to a red wine with a fine, deep profile, capable of balancing tension and harmony.

Altitude, Measure, Precision

Three elements define Fruscìo: a vertical red born at altitude, where the freshness of the air supports its balance.

Lake and mountain winds ventilate the vineyards, preserving tension and aromatic clarity. Clay and rocky soils lend structure and minerality, completing a wine that is essential, fresh, and deeply rooted in its territory.

Sensory Profile

Intense ruby in the glass, it reveals vegetal and spicy notes, mountain herbs and undergrowth, with hints of leather that emerge with aeration.

The palate is taut and elegant, with moderate alcohol, soft tannins, and a long, fresh, profound finish.

WINEMAKING PROCESS

Vinification and Aging

The red grape varieties are hand-selected and sent to vinification after an overnight cooling.

The clusters are destemmed while preserving the integrity of the berries; alcoholic fermentation begins after approximately one day, at a controlled temperature of 16–18 °C.

After approximately two weeks of skin contact, the wine is racked off and undergoes a first transfer into stainless steel to separate it from the lees. A second racking follows; while in contact with the fine lees, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation at 18–20 °C.

At the end of fermentation, the wine is aged for one year in used barriques, with bâtonnage carried out up to three times a week.
After bottling, Fruscìo rests for a further twelve months in the bottle before release.

Fruscìo 2023

The First

Vintage
The growing season was marked by a dry winter, with above-average temperatures lasting through April. From the onset of bud break and throughout the summer, rainfall became more regular, supporting steady and balanced vine growth. At veraison, temperatures and solar radiation promoted the completion of grape ripening.Prior and Cabernet Cortis reached full maturity by mid-October, during a period of pronounced diurnal temperature variation, encouraging the development of aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red hue. The bouquet evokes vegetal and spicy notes, alpine herbs and forest floor, with refined hints of leather that emerge as the wine opens. On the palate, it is taut and elegant, supported by a restrained alcohol level, with supple tannins and a naturally unfolding persistence that leaves a lasting impression of freshness and depth.
